Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in Gas Hob/Cooktop design and development, preferably in the kitchen appliances industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Creo for 3D modeling, design development, and engineering documentation.
  • Sound knowledge of gas combustion principles, heat transfer, material selection, and IS 4246 compliance requirements.
  • Experience in product validation, reliability testing, certification, and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, die casting, and injection moulding.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced product development environment.

Job Description

  • Design and develop gas hobs/cooktops from concept to production.
  • Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using Creo.
  • Conduct product testing, validation, and reliability assessments to ensure performance and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with IS 4246 and other applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and marketing teams for successful product development and launch.
  • Support product certification activities and drive continuous improvement through design optimization and problem-solving.
  • Evaluate materials, manufacturing processes, and cost-effective design solutions to enhance product competitiveness.
