About Company
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
- Experience in electro-mechanical design of Low Voltage Switchboards / electrical panels.
- Knowledge/experience of type-testing and certification of LV switchboards.
- Knowledge of IEC/IS 61439-1 & 61439-2 and IEC/TR 61641.
- Overall, 4–5 years of experience in sheet-metal component and assembly design.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with 3D mechanical CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation and design release processes.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Relevant experience in LV switchboard / electrical panel design will be an added advantage.
Job Description
- Understand engineering requirements and develop mechanical and electro-mechanical designs for LV switchboards.
- Create and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs, product data and design documentation.
- Support license partners with project-specific layouts, customized/non-standard designs and technical issues.
- Support type-testing, design verification and certification activities as per applicable standards.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, vendors, testing agencies and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Identify, analyse and resolve technical/design issues, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain and update drawing databases, product records and design releases.
- Contribute to design standardization, cost optimization and continuous product improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IEC/IS standards, QMS and EHS requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Configurator team to develop, validate and maintain configuration logic, ensuring accurate and technically compliant product configurations aligned with approved designs.
- The role is not limited to modelling/drafting; it involves end-to-end engineering—from understanding requirements and developing designs to manufacturing support, testing/certification and resolution of technical issues.
