- Graduate in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Job Description
- To develop future products and also responsible for the improvement of current products. The position would be involved in all aspects of design from an electrical perspective.
- Design calculations & Selection of electrical components and cables taking into account all circuit and environmental conditions.
- Localization of current product
- Ability to design and draw electrical control circuits & panel layouts (to relevant European regulations).
- Produce electrical drawings from new sheet through to red line updates of electrical drawings as per methodology
- Contributes ideas / innovation for continuous improvement on machine design
- Willing to develop existing skills
- Continuous self-appraisal of current and market place issues and applies this where relevant
- Experience in design and development of electrical circuits and control panels
- Experience in electrical design tools like Promis-e, RSWire, Zuken E3, EPLAN...etc.
- Knowledge of relevant European EN / UL Regulations/Standards
- Knowlede of functional Safety
- Knowledge of selection of AC/DC drives, PLC/IPC and feedback elements such as encoders, sensors etc.
- Experience in using a SAP system would be an advantage.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve high standards.
- Has a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to assess, make decisions and address situations.
- Ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues across all departments
- Needs to be willing, able and available to travel on a worldwide basis.
- Experience expected in one or more of the following: -
- Rotating machinery and variable frequency drives
- Pneumatic systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Experience of working on capital machinery would be desirable.
- Vacuum system experience would be an advantage.
