Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 15 years related oil & gas/petrochemical experience preferable from a background in working for EPC/consultancy organizations.
- In depth Knowledge of International Codes & Standards with specific expertise is ASME B 31.3.
- In depth Knowledge of International Codes & Standards pertaining to Equipment Layout / Safety Distances for Equipment.
- Experience in Design & Execution of Non Metallic Piping Systems like GRE/HDPE.
- Experience in EPC of Oil & Gas Plants / Refinery / New Energy / Petrochemical / Mining Plant Design & Layout. Experience in Brown Field Execution / FEED Engineering / Vendor Packages / Layout Study / Statutory Requirements / EPC of Oil & Gas Plants / Refinery / New Energy / Petrochemical / Mining Plant Design & Layout / Iso Planning, Checking & Revision Control / Bulk Take-off & Quantity Control / Area Close out / Proposal Engineering / Offshore Piping.
- Basic Knowledge & Understanding of Stress Analysis of Piping systems.
- Knowledge of VPRM / ERM, PMS, MTO, Interdisciplinary, and interface management.
- Knowledge on Material Life Cycle Management and Material Management.

Job Description
- Review contract documents and identify requirements and scope of work for project execution. Review specifications, drawings, and other documents as per project.
- Identify and quantify total number of engineering deliverables, man-hour allocation, finalize format of delivery, time schedules and other requirements for execution of the work.
- Coordinate with Planning & Control on project time schedules, establish target completion dates, to ensure target dates are achieved through review of L3 Schedule and Technical document Register (TDR) engaging VEC.
- Implementation of applicable Lesson Learnt throughout the project cycle.
- Attending to Value Engineering Workshop and leading to successful implementation of Value Engineering points.
- Engage Construction, Commissioning & Operation teams for their inputs & reviews early on projects.
- Piping MTO Activities, for Proposal & Projects. Taking MTO from P&ID & Plot plan/Model for pickables, pipes & elbows.
- Supervise Designers & Engineers for MTO Activities
- Review & Preparation and issue of Inquiry Requisitions to vendors. Participate in technical bid evaluations. Review vendor drawings, documents, and design calculations. Ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with client equipment specifications and within budgeted costs. Prepare TQ, TBE and Purchase requisitions
- Manage Set-up of the Material Management system (VPRM / ERM) incorporating the project specifications. Coordinate and incorporate the MTO from the 3D model. Update and maintain the system to incorporate the latest material requirements.
- Review & Preparation and issue of Purchase Requisitions for the procurement of equipment and materials. Coordinate with Procurement and provide necessary assistance to Expediting and Quality Departments.
- Interface with Client representatives as required for resolving any technical issues.
- Collaboration with Process Team along with Mechanical & Instrumentation for early and effective.
- Clearance of P&ID Holds
- Obtain the required inputs from other engineering disciplines e.g., mechanical data sheets, Instrument specifications and other necessary data.
