- Bachelor's degree required in mechanical engineering from accredited program.
- Minimum 4 years related experience.
- Successful candidate will have excellent written & verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.
- Knowledge in standard mechanical engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and various CAD related software.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
Job Description
- Mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion and construction support services.
- Development of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals of fuel storage facilities.
- Perform mechanical calculations and analysis (Ex: hydraulic calculations, surge analysis, pipe stress analysis).
- Assist in designing mechanical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers and lead engineer.
- Apply basic knowledge of commonly used mechanical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the mechanical engineering services industry.
- Assist with developing and correcting design drawings using multiple CAD related software (Ex: AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit).
- Experience in the following areas would be of high value:
- Fuel receipt, storage, and distribution facilities
- Fuel hydrant distribution systems
- Pipeline and transport truck fuel receipt systems
- Fuel storage tanks
- Distribution pumping systems
