Eligibility Criteria
- 6-8 years of experience in the Copper industry with a proven track record of leading mechanical engineering projects and initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's degree or additional certifications in mechanical engineering will be an advantage.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
Job Description
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects within the Copper industry, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Provide technical expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, compressors, and piping.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize plant operations, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement innovative solutions.
- Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs for mechanical assets to maximize equipment reliability and availability.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the condition of mechanical systems, identify potential improvements, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and technical support to enhance their skills and knowledge in mechanical engineering.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to recommend and implement relevant improvements in mechanical processes and equipment.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to identify and evaluate mechanical equipment suppliers and contractors, ensuring cost-effective and reliable solutions.
- Participate in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring timely completion of mechanical engineering projects within the specified parameters.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with stakeholders, including management, operations teams, and external partners, to align mechanical engineering activities with organizational goals and objectives.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
