Eligibility Criteria
- BE/BTech with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience or ME/MTech in Mechanical with 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Auto CAD – Operating knowledge
- MathCAD or Excel proficiency
- Ability to speak and write English at a professional level
- Informs on a permanent basis the PM & HOD of any foreseen technical or financial or delay risks
- Sizing calculations for rotating equipment
- Basic understanding of hydrocarbon processes
- Basic understanding of fabrication processes
- Understanding of testing and inspection of the equipment (e.g. hydrotest, MT, PT, RT, UT, ET and VT)
- Design Experience in equipment (static or rotating)
Job Description
- Responsible for overall execution of the project assigned & shall lead the project till end.
- Responsible for the technical design of equipment (static and rotating) and components, including cost efficiency and conformity to customer specifications, as per agreed schedule
- Ensuring operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the design
- Ensuring engineering documentation is available for design of piping and equipment lay-outs
- Responsible for checking engineering documentation of the equipment (static and rotating)
- Takes ownership of design and decides on details where required
- Responsible for handling technical communication with external engineering parties and where applicable with clients
- Early identification to project manager of concerns with the necessary corrective action
- Working methods are in accordance with the Quality Management Systems
- Ensuring an adequate knowledge level is maintained in the field of expertise.
- Developing, knowledge and skills to be able to address current and future project and market demands
- Guiding Designer during project execution wherever necessary.
