- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in similar kind of position.
- Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Willingness to travel globally and work in offshore/onshore environments.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to HSE standards.
Job Description
- Support installation and commissioning (I&C) projects as required.
- Perform mechanical and hydraulic servicing, troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine work procedures and identify/correct faults.
- Make recommendations to improve product and system efficiency, maintaining high operational levels.
- Prepare and update relevant documentation, including daily reports, survey reports, parts lists, and service reports.
- Escalate significant faults or product failures to relevant departments and follow through to resolution.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, providing regular status updates.
- Promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plans and support the continuous development of internal policies.
- Respond to emergency calls for Rig Down situations as needed.
- Collaborate with management, engineering, quality, and HSE personnel to resolve equipment issues and recommend improvements.
- Stay informed on new legislation and maintain knowledge of HSE requirements and industry developments.
- Advise customers on equipment maintenance and upkeep as per manuals and product bulletins.
- Ensure fault finding, repair, and recommendations are conducted timely without compromising safety or quality.
- Support other departments and fulfill additional duties as business needs dictate.
- Travel as required on an ad-hoc basis, regionally or internationally.
- Maintain and manage assigned tools and prepare toolboxes.
- Communicate regularly with Field Service Manager or Supervisor on all service aspects.
- Complete reporting, download job packs, and prepare and submit reports timely for billing purposes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
