Eligibility Criteria
- BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of Inverter Mechanical Design and development.
- Basic understanding of High voltage Inverter components like Power modules, DC Link capacitor, EMC filter, Shielding’s.
- Knowledge on the clearances and creepage
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Advanced/expert in CATIA V5 (Skeleton based method, Drafting, Plastic & casting design, Generative sheet metal, Generative shape design, DMU) and 3DExperience.
- Knowledge on the basic simulations on CATIA (Structural, Thermal, etc.)
- Excellent drafting knowledge and best practices of the drafting according to the international standards.
- Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
- Evaluate technical customer and stakeholder requirements for geometrical integration topics based on section cuts, 3D PDFs and benchmark photos.
- Define the mechanical system concept and architecture of products in alignment with the System Architect, product line, subsystems, and building blocks.
- Set up the schematics for standard mechanic architecture for Hybrid and Electric based on e.g. section cuts, CAD data and presentations.
- Allocate and break down mechanical system requirements to Sub Project (SP) and Building Block (BB) levels, considering non-functional, interface, and design topics.
- Balance competing attributes to meet mechanical system requirements, such as package, interfaces, weight targets, Center of Gravity (CoG), and materials.
- Assist in design reviews and meet design freeze deadlines.
- Ensure the plausibility and completeness of the System Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Participate in change management meetings and evaluate changes that may impact the mechanical system.
- Initiate the development of mechanical serviceability concepts, standard Assembly process with future products.
- Involvement in the customer interactions and discussion with Suppliers for the design.
- As a Mechanical System Engineer, he/ she will play a key role in the development and implementation of mechanical system concepts and designs, while ensuring alignment with project objectives.
