Job Overview
- Creatively and efficiently advocating for quality in web-based research software
- Engaging and collaborating with a cross functional software development life cycle team to ensure high quality, timely product releases
- Experience with Agile methodologies as well as contributing to Agile ceremonies
- Developing risk-based test strategies
- Developing and manually executing test cases
- Identifying and documenting defects in the software
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in testing web applications, databases, and interfaces
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage software testing projects
- Familiarity with manual and automated test strategies
- Strong attention to detail
- Collaborative approach to problem solving with an Agile mindset
- Familiarity with SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases
Job Description
- Working closely with engineers and business analysts to improve the quality of our products and related processes
- Creating and maintaining reusable test assets that facilitate efficient software quality assessments
- Documenting software testing procedures
- Deploying and maintaining test environments
- Leveraging client experience data to improve quality of product and operations
- Using data to assess quality of product and efficiency of operations
- Applying various testing techniques such as functional, exploratory, or regression at an appropriate time
- Familiarity with test and deployment automation concepts
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and proposing solutions
- Contributing to cross functional process initiatives within the SDLC organization
- Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventative Action concepts
- Familiarity with quality and operational metrics.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
