Job Overview
- Our engineering team plans and implements large-scale plants in the metallurgical and chemical industry.
- A key focus of our work is the planning, sizing, and procurement of process equipment – so-called package units.
- For this, we are looking for an engineer specializing in "Rotating Equipment" (pumps, blowers, compressors, etc.).
Eligibility Criteria
- A bachelor's degree, preferably a master's degree in mechanical or process engineering discipline.
- Good knowledge in the areas of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
- Professional experience in handling mechanical equipment and industrial projects.
- Experience in project work with international project teams is desirable.
- Good English skills, both written and spoken; German language is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for inspections and project meetings.
- A structured, goal-oriented, reliable, and self-responsible working style.
Job Description
- Design, develop, and optimize fluid systems.
- Perform preliminary designs for the corresponding equipment.
- Conduct time and budget planning for the assigned equipment packages.
- Specify the technical requirements for the equipment packages and engineering services of the suppliers, request the equipment worldwide, and evaluate the supplier offers.
- Conduct technical negotiations with suppliers and prepare the award.
- Coordinate the interfaces with other disciplines in international implementation projects.
- Manage subcontractors regarding their delivery and performance scope.
- Ensure that the delivery and performance scope meet quality requirements.
- Conduct inspections at the manufacturers' plants.
- Participate in the preparation of offers and support the offer team.
- Participate in the measures of Product Safety Management (PSM) in the projects.
