Job Overview
- Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
- Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects
Eligibility Criteria
- BA/BS in Electrical Engineering + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Electrical Engineering
- Extensive experience in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant industry standards
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing complex electrical engineering projects
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Experience in developing and reviewing technical specifications and construction documents
- Familiarity with energy-efficient design principles and sustainable engineering practices
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians
Job Description
- Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings
- Prepares technical specification sections
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements
- Leads and mentors junior engineers and technicians in electrical design principles and best practices
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other engineering disciplines
- Develops and implements innovative solutions to complex electrical engineering challenges
- Ensures compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Conducts feasibility studies and risk assessments for new electrical design projects
- Represents the company in technical forums and industry conferences related to electrical engineering
