Job Overview
- A Manufacturing Lead is Responsible for leading, co-ordinating and optimizing manufacturing operations.
- The role ensures that production targets are met in terms of drawing and supporting files delivery while driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting plant engineers.
- The Candidate must have Extensive experience (10+ years) in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior engineering role.
Eligibility Criteria
- Requires a degree in Bachelor of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering. From an accredited Engineering institute.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Seeks discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information; explains variances.
- Organizes and prioritizes the sequence of steps to be taken to remedy the situation.
- Identifies many possible causes for a problem based on prior experience and current research.
- Quantifies the costs, benefits, risks and chances for success before recommending a course of action.
- Approaches a complex problem by breaking it down into its component situation
- Chooses among a diverse set of analytical tools according to the nature of the situation.
Job Description
- Evaluate and improve existing fabrication processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Develop new manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions based on engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and quality standards.
- Apply advanced manufacturing techniques and lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Design and develop custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures required for specialized fabrication.
- Conduct time studies and cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization
- Responsible for fabrication processes for pressure vessels, piping systems, and other large-scale structures.
- Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance. Overseeing the efforts of drafting and testing specialists.
- Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents. Participating in buy-build analysis for product components.
- Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports.
