Eligibility Criteria
- Requires BS degree and 3 – 5 years of experience or equivalent relative experience.
- Must have understanding of Lean Manufacturing in a production environment, Lean/Six Sigma training.
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Microsoft office, including Visio.
- Ability to interface with a wide variety of personnel in group and one-on-one settings.
- Strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
- Solidworks or other 3D modeling software.
- Strong communication skills.
Job Description
- Coordinates subsystems and integration of total system and tooling.
- Identifies, analyzes and resolves support deficiencies; Develops and recommends corrective actions and tracks progress of corrective actions as key inputs to progress.
- May conduct feasibility studies on new and modified designs.
- Runs Pilot production activities.
- Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
- May direct support personnel in preparation of detailed design, design testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing.
- Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
- May also review vendor capability to support development.
- Develops and recommends corrective actions.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
- Performs root cause analysis of defects.
- Drives process improvements in-house.
- Drives efficiency improvements through process changes, fixturing, training, metrology selection, and design feedback.
