Job Description
- End-to-end mechanical and system design of products, including:
- Vision systems (optics, enclosures, calibration structures)
- Robotic arms, grippers, motion stages, and actuation systems
- Sensor systems (custom sensing principles, integration, protection)
- Translate abstract capabilities (vision, grasp, motion, touch, intelligence) into physical systems that can be built, tested, manufactured, and serviced.
- Design with modularity, scalability, manufacturability, serviceability, and replaceability as firstclass constraints.
- Product packaging design, including:
- Electronics and PCB form-factor integration
- Thermal paths, EMI/EMC awareness, vibration isolation
- Aesthetic coherence without compromising serviceability
- Logistics and shipment packaging design, covering:
- Material choice, cost, and NVH robustness
- Sustainability considerations
- Ease of storage, stacking, transport, and field deployment
