Job Overview
- We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Engineers to join our Lifecycle Management (LCM) Team as part of a 24-month apprenticeship program.
- This role is intended for recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Science or related disciplines who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in software development, medical device lifecycle management, device testing, and platform sustainment activities.
- The apprentice will work closely with experienced engineers and gain exposure to the end-to-end lifecycle of regulated medical devices, including software maintenance, platform upgrades, operating system patching, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E / B.Tech) in:
- Computer Science
- Information Science
- Strong academic background
- Basic understanding of software development fundamentals
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset
- Basic programming knowledge (C/C++/Python/Java/C#) is a plus
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Job Description
- Support software development, maintenance, and lifecycle management activities for medical device products.
- Assist in implementing, validating, and verifying software changes and enhancements.
- Participate in functional, integration testing of medical devices and associated software applications.
- Support operating system upgrade and patch validation activities.
- Assist in root cause investigation, defect analysis, and troubleshooting activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and engineering records.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to software quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support automation and productivity improvement efforts where applicable.
