Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT with 0-3+ year(s) of working experience
- Expertise in programming languages like Python, Perl, Java, or C
- Good knowledge of test automation using frameworks
- Experience with leading automation efforts and writing and debugging automation tests for complex enterprise software
- Ability to identify and use tools for automated solutions best suited for testing needs
- Experience with continuous integration (CI) and automation frameworks
- Domain expertise with storage-related technologies including block-level storage and file systems
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging in Linux and UNIX environments
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance (QA)
- Thorough knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Working experience with automated testing tools
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Understanding of virtualization and VMware technologies and containers like Docker
- Experience with performance and security testing is a plus
Job Description
- Design high-level test approaches that suit customer deployments and come up with automation test framework recommendations and detailed test plans for the functionality
- Automate and carry out test cases as part of new feature testing and enable automated regression runs for subsequent releases
- Guide the automation testing effort and work with other engineers to get test cases automated
- Design, develop, and implement automation scripts using open source tools
- Provide an accurate and timely status of automated testing efforts and quality statistics to the engineering team
- Define the quality of the deliverables and shape the quality delivery process
- Actively participate in requirements and functional and design aspects of our solutions
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Identify, record, thoroughly document, and track bugs
- Stay up-to-date on new testing tools and test strategies
