Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years of Overall experience and 3+ years Caterpillar experience
- The high degree of familiarity with Caterpillar engineering systems, processes, and standards (EDS, Teamcenter, PRWB, Design Re-use, CREO, etc)
- Emphasis on initiative and self-starting tasks
- Strong customer focus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with US team and internal partners
- Experience working with external suppliers
Job Description
- SPBU Design control tasks as delegated by DC owners
- Coordinate part validation activities with machine groups, engine groups and test facilities.
- Prepare presentation material for and lead Design Reviews.
- Support problem resolution with customers and dealers.
- Parts rationalization
- Use control assignment and updates
- Engineering document updates
- Design reuse classification
- Part data population and cleanup
