Job Description
- Engage with customers to understand pain points and working on actions that reduce these pain-points and drive customer benefits/value. Be a single point of contact between customer and GE for Quality and allied communication and resolution. Develop a communication protocol to ensure timely and effective communication with customer.
- Understand customers expectation through Voice of Customer – Net Promoter Score feedback methodology for all project at regular milestones, Analyse the strategic and operational improvement actions and track the implementation to achieve the VOC – NPS targets.
- Lead the reduction of cost of poor quality for projects bucket (BOP, I&C, Storage, etc.) and drive rigorous metrics related to Quality KPIs for projects to evaluate performance. Tracking all the Cost of Quality (COQ) and liaison with teams working on respective buckets to mitigate/avoid the potential risks to projects, also facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action of all issues.
- Build relationships with cross-functional/project teams and regional and global resources in order to support identification, review, prioritization and execution of key improvements opportunities/projects to drive results.
- Implement Business Process Management System/QMS in the true spirit, drive internal audits and OFI closure from the audits.
- Identify and influence Continuous Improvements that enhance efficiencies and reduce costs while maintaining quality & Support Execution Excellence efforts to meet and exceed customer requirements.
- Provide leadership to projects and allied departments under their control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers Execution Excellence, added value and cost reductions Lead the projects organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement
- Interface and collaborate with internal functions to support integrated efforts in assessing and addressing quality risks, requirements and issues
- Plan, guide and support understanding and implementation of project-specific quality plans for assigned projects
- Review requisitions, specifications and purchase orders for clear and complete quality requirements and address any issues
- Degree in Engineering or master’s degree in related field is desirable
- Proven ability to influence & drive change in a matrix environment
- Minimum 18+ years of experience in Quality, Operation Excellence or similar Role.
- Strong communication skills. Ability work effectively in cross functional team environment & across different geographies.
- Collaborative skills in a project team environment coupled with commitment to candid communication of quality issues and the ability to influence decisions of major consequence
- Proficient application of Continuous Improvement techniques and quality tools. Skilled in root cause analysis and corrective action programs such as A3, 8D Methodology, Six Sigma, Kaizen
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
