- We are looking for a creative and passionate candidate to join our team as “Design Engineer” to work on a variety of product development opportunities. The design engineer will support the design and engineering solutions under the mentorship of a lead or senior engineer. He/She will deliver relevant solutions to new and existing products through design calculations, risk-assessment using first principles engineering, technical analyses/FMEA and verification of the design. The Design Engineer will learn and utilize TE’s stage gate process and use DFM/DFSS and other relevant engineering tools to deliver a high quality, robust and cost-effective design. He/She will partner cross-functionally to execute all aspects of product development.

About Company
Job Description
- Bachelor’s degree on EE/Mechanical/Communication, Master’s degree preferred.
- 7 to 10 years of work experience in a signal integrity engineering role.
- Experience with interconnect design or experience with connector &/or cable assembly design.
- Signal integrity analysis tools (Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS).
- A solid understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret simulation and lab data to identify issues and provide solutions to fix identified problem. SixSigma methodologies or other strong data analytics background is a PLUS.
- Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly. Proficient in Altium Designer is a PLUS.
- Experience in project leadership, especially as it applies across design, development & manufacturing teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a global environment – able to accommodate varying time zones, fluent in English (verbal/written), able to collaborate with individuals across geographies.
- Individual must be highly motivated, a quick learner, and able to work independently.
