Job Description
- Design and implement platform modules and services for Teamcenter product using object oriented, service-oriented and microservices based designs.
- Perform the steps in Software development life cycle (specs, design, construction, test plan & execution) using agile methodology and test-driven development.
- Able to write clean, robust and maintainable code to minimize the cost of defects.
- Effectively work in an agile environment and collaborate with development team members and other stakeholders.
- Validate/ ensure the quality of the software through unit and consolidation testing, writing automated tests, and bug fixing.
- Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products (both internal and external) with focus on surpassing customer expectations by achieving high quality and on time delivery
- Ensures overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and features.
- Able to write clean, robust and maintainable code in order to deliver top-notch quality products to Siemens’ customers. Maintains existing software code and resolves customer and internally reported problems with a passion for problem solving and continuous learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Excellent working knowledge of Java or C++ is required
- Good Understanding of object-oriented design and design principles.
- Good knowledge of client-server architecture and microservices architecture.
- Experience working on multi-tier enterprise applications and building scalable components and services.
- Experience developing search-based enterprise applications and working knowledge of search engines such as SOLR is highly desirable.
