Job Description
- Develop and maintain websites and web applications for clients, with the help of the team. Get involved in the project discovery phase by brainstorming solutions, writing documentation, and designing database structures. Write clean, logical PHP code according to project requirements and documentation
- 5 years experience with PHP-based website development
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- A solid understanding of the MVC paradigm and object oriented programming. CodeIgniter preferred.
- Working knowledge of front end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/ jQuery
- Excellent knowledge of back end technologies like PHP and MySQL
- Experience working with other members of a development team
- A collection of code samples/ example work
- NICE TO HAVES (NOT REQUIRED, BUT WILL MOVE YOU UP OUR LIST QUICKLY):
- Familiarity with using WordPress as a quickly-deployable CMS
- Experience with PHP MVC frameworks like CakePHP, Symfony, and CodeIgniter
- Experience with JavaScript MVC frameworks like AngularJS, BackboneJS, and EmberJS
- Experience with Node.js and Socket.IO
- Experience with No-SQL databases like MongoDB and CouchDB
- Experience with Mobile Web application development (Inonic/ Cordova/ PhoneGap)
- Familiarity with the server technologies: Apache, Memcached, Nginx, etc
