Job Description
- Perform Value Analysis Value Engineering (VAVE) activities related to existing product portfolio.
- Product Design and development activates by engineering principles with utilizing 3D tools.
- Participate in design reviews and Stage Gate processes while designing components, prototypes and complete product.
- Working with Design and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure new / re - designs are optimized for manufacturability and fitment of final product assembly.
- Experienced in mechanical calculations on General engineering, rotary equipment’s like Pumps, Blenders, Gearbox. Experience with Mixers / Agitators preferred.
- Identify opportunities to take cost out of existing designs and implement through the ECR, ECO process and Product Maintenance process
- Knowledge in executing end-to-end Mixers / product Order engineering. Creation of GAD, Bills of material (BOM). Modifies manufacturing drawings for existing designs using 3D models and assemblies.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to think creatively to create solutions, drive execution and focus on results
- Work independently with global engineering team, Track & report project progress status to all stakeholders
- Experience with NPD / VAVE of industrial equipment (Agitators, Pumps, Heat exchangers, Heavy engineering, process skids, etc.) preferred
- Thorough knowledge of machine design, strength of material, metallurgy, ASME codes, manufacturing procedures with manufacturing work experience, preferred
- Expert understanding & implementation of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) to individual parts and overall assemblies
- Experienced in producing models and drawings for a wide array of components and assemblies, including but not limited to castings, rough and precision machining, fabrication and piping.
- Well versed in wide variety of production processes including (but not limited to) machining, casting, welding, Polishing.
- Knowledge on design software’s systems; AutoCAD and Inventor preferred
- Proficient in an ERP, PDM system; Vault, SAP tools.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
