Job Description
- Installing, configuring and upgrading Ascendon ARM Products
- Configuring, maintaining and updating deployment and application infrastructure
- Validating installation, configuration, release and promotion processes and procedures
- Supporting the Ascendon ARM Product Development Teams’ releases and promotions through to production
- Monitoring the function and performance of Ascendon ARM solutions and environments
- Creating and documenting automated solutions for DevOps Engineer processes
- Ticket intake and triage: troubleshoot, diagnose and triage application defects
- Tight Incident Management procedures: frequent updates, progress, transparency
- Incident ownership from inception to resolution
- Work with stakeholders to gather data and move issues to resolution
- Respond to requests such as clarifying functionality and configuration, and completing service requests
- Participating in the ARM Operations on-call rotation schedule
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in development or operations engineering with development and release processes
- Experience with version control, continuous integration and delivery tools (Subversion, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory or related services like Azure DevOps, Salt, AWS CodeCommit/Build/Pipelines, BitBucket or GitLab)
- Experience configuring, managing and upgrading servers and software
- Experience with database applications (Oracle, MySQL) and Web Services (REST, SOAP)
- Working knowledge of caching concepts, network and infrastructure models
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Chef, Puppet or Ansible)
- Software development experience on Linux platforms in common scripting languages (Perl, Python, Groovy, Ruby, bash)
