Job Description
- Provide leadership to a JLL Corporate Solutions Asia Pacific Account for the engineering design function enabled by a deep knowledge of design codes, engineering system compliance for electrical, mechanical and LV systems.
- Implement standard business operating mechanisms such as regular team and partner meetings, strategic and operational reviews and establish regular monitoring and reporting processes to ensure effective and efficient delivery of engineering design for projects and refurbishments.
- Ensure alignment with Global Engineering Design Guidelines of the client and compliance to their delivery and approval protocol for all stages of engineering design.
- Work closely with Workplace Operations, Project Management teams in the client and JLL organisations to collate business requirements and generate an engineering design Statement of Requirements (SOR) for new projects and existing space refurbishment or re-stacks.
- Work with the client’s design team and network of design partners to generate Schematics, Concept Design and Detailed design.
- Coordinate between Workplace Operations, Transactions Management, Project Management and provide a key linkage between the wider JLL organisation and client representatives.
- Work with Project Management to assist them in tendering of engineering design scope including providing scope documents, schematics, detailed design, vetting of contractors, scrutiny and review of submissions.
- Assist Project Management in contractor selection and approval of workshop drawings to enable commencement of work.
- Monitor all engineering systems installation work at all stages as prescribed in the project plans and accord stage gate approvals or raise deviation concerns and reports in case of non compliance to engineering design specs.
- Establish and ensure compliance to design deviation reporting and approval protocols of the client
- Assist the QA function or agent in quality assurance of the project related to engineering design scope
- Assist Project Management teams in drafting of submittals for regulatory clearances and statutory compliance related to engineering systems where needed.
- Assist and provide inputs to Project Management and Workplace operations teams in drafting and approval of Test and Commissioning checks and protocols.
- Ensure engineering system as-built drawings and document hand over to Workplace Operations and obtain sign off.
- Arrange and facilitate HOTO trainings for Workplace Operations teams from contractors, system and equipment OEMs and ensure these are recorded and maintained for reference.
- Provide technical advice and consultancy to client representative and the JLL DC facilities management and Engineering Operations teams as required. Attend QBRs of the account and provide inputs and business reports for ED in review and governance meetings.
- Work in collaboration and partnership with the wider JLL Centre of Excellence and Engineering Operations team to manage risk and proliferate best practice.
