Job Description
- DFx: DFM, DFR, DFSC, DFT
- Value engineering (component selection, process efficiency, and design changes)
- BOM structuring and BOM risk Management.
- Design tool proficiency (DFx, schematic, CAD, other CAE tools)
- Cost avoidance (pre-A0) and sustaining cost reduction
- Design lab experimentation / debug (proficiency continuum) / DOE /EFA
- Technical lifecycle management (defect reduction team participation, new component qualification, etc)
- Assessing CM and supply chain technical capability gaps
- Knowledge and application of industry innovations / trends to product or program
- Creating, analyzing, and releasing product documentation
- Manufacturing (Process), FMEA
- Design FMEA
- Design diagnostic analysis and input / influence
- Leadership and direction of complex issue resolution
- Very good understanding on Electronic product design and architecture.
- Good understanding of Hardware interfaces – High speed serial interfaces , PCIE , Ethernet , SATA , I2C etc
- Knowledge of PCB design and Allegro .
- Knowledge of Valor and DFM is a Plus .
- Knowledge of PCBA Manufacturing, System Build and NPI process
- Knowledge of Product development process from concept to launch phase.
- Expected to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Conflict resolution & a problem solver, decision making & an influencer
- Presentation skills.
