Eligibility Criteria
- Design of piston & rings in line with Customer requirements / input, in accordance with IATF 16949 standards / latest trends and general design guidelines / practices.
- Design products using Engineering STDs, CAD (as per company standards/norms & trend) and consult with engineering (Global) and manufacturing teammates to ensure that proposed design is economical and feasible to manufacture.
- Determining product cost, bench marking and VA/VE proposal to reduce product / process cost.
- Introducing and developing new techniques and systems for product design / development
- Ensuring company core values, Governmental regulations / policies etc., are followed during all steps of design, costing and APQP process
- Adopting problem solving methods for customer issues / engineering problems
- Conducting statistical analysis if required.
- Good communication skills and administration
Job Description
- Design of Components (Piston & Rings) for IC Engines (Automotive or Off-Highway ) , Compressors and other applications .
- Strong knowledge of design tools, IS/BIS/ISO/DIN STDs
- Hands on experience on following software tools,
- 3D-Modeling and Drafting in Creo (Preferred) / Uni Graphics / Catia
- 2D-Drafting AutoCAD (Preferred) or any other software
- CAE / CFD tools (Hypermesh, FE Safe, Abaqus etc.) - Optional
- Knowledge of IC Engines, Bench Marking Exercise,
- Strong knowledge of Product development process as per IATF 16949, Data Base preparation / updating, Hand on experience of PLM software - Wind Chill (Preferred)
