Hubbell Engineering located in Ascendas, ITPL, Chennai, is engaged in the business of computer-aided design and engineering services. The Hubbell Business Solutions functions at Infopark Kochi, provide superior business intelligence, knowledge services, and business process solutions across Hubbell divisions and Corporate. IT Services team is spread across Chennai and Kochi.

Position Overview

We are looking for a candidate who is having good knowledge of Solidworks software. The candidate should have knowledge in Electrical connectors components, Legacy drawing conversion from 2D to 3D Models, Engineering change order (ECO). Also should have good knowledge in SAP EC process (BOM, Routing & DIR updates)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Need to create Drawings based on ASME Y14.5M – 2009 standards.
• Proficiency in Solid works software modeling & drafting.
• Knowledge in Electromechanical products.
• Need to understand top-down approach principles. Create parts & assembly using skeleton model.
• Knowledge in product database & product life cycle management.
• Knowledge in materials (Ferrous, nonferrous & plastics)
• Knowledge in the manufacturing process (Plastics, Sheetmetal, machining process)
• Knowledge in GD&T, Tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Good Team player – Develop good interaction with team lead and team members
• Should have Good communication skills oral & written.
• Should act as technical interface to customers and is responsible to ensure that projects are executed within the agreed schedule
• Need to work in sales & production drawing request.
• Maintain high-Quality standards & deliver projects on time. Need to work in shifts.

Skills and Experience

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of Design & Development.
• Hands-on experience in the field of Mechanical CAD & ECO Process.
• Desirable Experience in the manufacturing industry is added advantage.
• Solidworks Certification will be an added advantage

Software Skills:

• Mandatory Should have working knowledge in SolidWorks, AutoCAD software
• Desirable Autodesk Inventor software is added advantage.

Other Skills

• Geometrical dimensioning & tolerancing, Tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Awareness DFMEA, DFMA, VA/VE Methodology
• Good communication skills

Education – Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
