Eligibility Criteria
- Experience in Designing of HVAC and Plumbing Systems for various sectors including water/wastewater treatment plants, Facilities and Industrial., etc.
- Moderate user of AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Familiar with ASHRAE, NFPA codes and standards.
- LEED and Energy modeling knowledge is desired.
- LEED or CEM credentials desired.
- HVAC Controls and Building management system knowledge is desired.
- Fire protection system skills added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.).
- Minimum Qualifications
- Masters or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
- 10+ Years of related experience
Job Description
- Duties & Responsibilities
- Engineering Design/Development
- With general direction, creates engineering designs including: HVAC systems master planning & studies; HVAC & Plumbing systems; mechanical systems (co-generation); sustainability/energy efficiency/renewable energy/green buildings; plans and specifications, etc. of basic to high complexity to meet client project requirements. Participation in project coordination with the Architectural, Structural, Process mechanical, Electrical and Automation disciplines. Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations and signs off on completed designs. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
- Site Reviews
- Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Updates design requirements as necessar
- Technical Knowledge Management (TKM)
- Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.. Sbmits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
- Sales Support
- Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs). Reviews draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices. Meets with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs.
- Technical Luminescence
- Attends conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.
