• BS degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field

• The Materials & Processes Engineering (MPE) organization is seeking an Engineering Assistant to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of material scientists and engineers to resolve real-world issues. 
• With guidance from the team, the Engineering Assistant will work independently to gather and summarize information over a wide breadth of topics and communicate the findings by means of written reports or verbal communications. 
• The Engineering Assistant is expected to be able to handle multiple projects and be manage the priority. The research topics range from material availability, vendor communications, and analysis of specifications.
• The successful candidate must be able to independently manage their own workload, be diligent in gathering and cross-checking information gathered, and summarize the findings in written reports and verbal communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently research topics and gather information
• Write reports to document the findings
• Communicate with subject matter experts on various research topics
• Manage their workload, maintain a searchable history of reports written

Basic Qualifications: 

• Associate degree in a technical discipline
• Early Career, or recent grad 
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
