Genworth is hiring for experienced Java Application Support Engineer

• 1-3 years of experience in Core Java and JavaScript development.
• 1 -3 years of experience with support and enhancement projects.
• Should demonstrate specific knowledge of core JAVA, J2EE, JavaScript and SQL.
• Should be proficient in the use of Java IDEs like eclipse.
• Experience in implementation, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Java based applications.
• Experience working in a distributed team environment
• Able and willing to learn new technologies and tools required for the project.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail orientated and able to thoroughly document and communicate issues
• Strong focus on providing service to the customer.
• Out of the box thinking; Flexible / Critical thinking skills a must.
• Able to sell concepts and designs / benefits to multiple audiences.
• Able to work independently and in diverse, co-located and remote teams
• Exposure and knowledge of following tools and technologies:
• o Informatica, Appworx/Job scheduler, ETL, data warehouses, Oracle, SQL Servers
• o ServiceNow, Jira, Markit, VBA

• Develop, maintain, and support Java based applications.

• Hands-on knowledge on Java, JavaScript and SQL.

• Must have the aptitude to learn new technical tools and business processes.

• Demonstrates the ability to contribute ideas and suggestions during design and technical meetings.

• Support and triage Java, JavaScript and SQL based applications.

• Should be able to communicate with business users to assist on projects

• Create and maintain Java based apps.

• Provide troubleshooting and support for available solutions.

• Ability to learn additional technologies and tools used in the project.

• Adhere to SOP, standards and best practices established in the project.

• Contributing to reporting and governance of overall Project.
