Eligibility Criteria
- For this position, we are looking for a candidate who at minimum has a Bachelors’s degree in engineering, preferable in mechanical engineering, with high understanding of all relevant structural analysis methods, design guidelines, standards and tools, combined with ideally relevant experience from within the wind power industry or similar.
- Ideally you have 8+ years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering of ideally wind turbines. Solid background and experience in mechanical areas is a benefit.
- You are comfortable providing assessments and to resolve the issues at faster pace to reduce LD’s, reduce costs and increase customer relationship.
Job Description
- Develop mechanical components for the Service Lifts within our WTGs
- Specify and Test mechanical components.
- Identify and select components, materials, parts and semi-products appropriate for Service Lifts.
- Create mechanical models and tolerance analyses to simulate mechanical design concepts.
- Calculate and create final layout including documentation and specification for parts, assemblies, or finished products.
- Maintain technical product files.
- Represent SGRE to customer, design authorities and suppliers as well being a key contact for Service within SGRE
- Analyze existing development procedures and suggests improvements.
- Implement or tests design solutions.
- Upgrade the design of existing devices by adding mechanical elements
- Analyze localization requirements and designs/adapts products and solutions accordingly
- Perform complex RCA investigation including reporting. Using and participating in 8D methodology.
