Valmet is hiring for Mechanical Engineer

BE/BTech ME/MTech

• Conceptualize innovative ideas, experiment proof of concept design, prototype build & test
• Mechanical engineering design and calculations,
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance, Tolerance Stack Up Analysis
• Manufacturing drawing creation, BOM, Instruction manual and testing procedure
• Co-ordinating with supplier and production for sample development.
• Prepare technical files for certifications like PED, API, SIL etc.
• Interact with Product Manager for better understanding of customer`s requirement.
• Closely work with global product centers to apply best engineering practices
• Run DFMEA, DFM, DFA and contribute to design reviews
• Maintains engineering documentation in support of product design, company standards, and regulatory requirements through the appropriate Product Data Management systems 
• Report to Lead Design Engineer – Ball valves
• Work closely with team but also with product managers and with production organization (e.g. assembly, machining).
• Basic engineering (solid & fluid) mechanics and have prior experience in industrial ball valve product development and engineering. Experience of working on cryogenic valves is preferred.
• Knowledge of process industry, basic metallurgy & heat treatment, PTFE/O-rings, plating/coatings and valves are considered as an asset.
• Familiar with design tools SolidWorks and AutoCAD, PLM/EPDM packages, ASME/API/EN codes and standards.
• Comfortable with working in international company and speak/write professionally in good English.
• Agile way of working & methodical approach and an eye for detail engineering
• Capable of working independently and willing to make decisions based on sound engineering practice/judgement.
