Job Description
- The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will participate in planning, designing, developing and executing various software quality processes. Practical, relevant experience as a creative problem solver and a proven ability to solve tough challenges with high quality is critical. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will implement best practices techniques for testing in an Agile environment, as well as value-based exploratory testing and acceptance testing for 24/7 mission critical applications.
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, scenarios and scripts.
- Define test parameters, design tests, interpret test results and analyze test trends.
- Document software defects, using defect tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
- Use of Scrum methodology and participation in all phases of the iterative process
- Monitor defect resolution efforts and track successes.
- Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content.
- Serve as the “quality advocate” for your functional component area.
- Assist in the deployments of all product releases, fix packs, hot fixes.
- Assist in the troubleshooting of production related client issues.
- Ability to lead application component team in special projects.
- Mentors less experienced software quality assurance engineers
- Writes automation tests within the automation framework and provides required maintenance on those tests.
- Work closely with Business Analyst and Developers in adherence to designated Use Case Stories during all sprint and post sprint activities.
- Stay current on progressive technologies/self-motivation to learn new methodologies and techniques that will enhance job performance.
- Ability to meet deadlines, deliverables, accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally.
- 3+ years’ experience in automation testing tool Selenium/C#.
- Experience is API testing tool like Postman and Ready API.
- Strong understanding on API Testing, TestNG with Rest Assured/Web Services and SQL dB development experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in Performance testing utilizing JMeter tool.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and the understanding of how to find flaws in complex software.
- Must have strong technical skills, such as an ability to understand basic SQL syntax for checking results in a database or editing XML configuration files.
- Experience successfully applying agile/scrum methodology to develop and execute software test plans including continuous integration and test-driven development.
- Experience testing GUI and functional user workflow – not just a button pusher.
- Strong analytical capabilities and data analysis techniques
- Strong commitment to quality and ability to work closely and communicate effectively with developers and product managers.
- Stay current on progressive technologies/self-motivation to learn new methodologies and techniques that will enhance job performance.
- Ability to meet deadlines, deliverables, accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally.
