Job Description
- Revamp of Oil/Gas/solid fuel fired Boilers/Heaters, Heat recovery systems like APH/Eco etc. and accessories and on time delivery of drawings as per agreed timelines.
- Thermal calculation for above mentioned equipment.
- Review/preparation of manufacturing drawings, P&ID, GATP.
- Selection of F D Fans, pumps, valves and instruments.
- Selection and experience on pressure jet burner, rotary cup burner and steam atomized burner.
- Review/approval of vendor offers & drawings and preparation of engineering part catalogues for procurement action.
- Attending site visits, OTM and participation in technical discussion with internal and external customer
- Preparation of engineering schedule for the orders.
- Selection of Material of construction as per IS, ASTM, BS, EN standards for pressure & non-pressure parts.
- Mechanical strength calculations of pressure parts as per BS, EN, ASME standards.
- Coordinating with OEG team for inputs/clarity required from customer/vendor for timely completion of engineering activities.
- Standardization of variants in heaters to reduce OCs to engineering
- Validation of units
- Knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, & thermal engineering
- Knowledge of different design & configuration of heaters/boilers, various combustion technology & design of combustors
- Application of acquired technical knowledge
- On time delivery as per agreed timelines.
- Engineering change control.
- Correction of Errors in design and drawing, ability to guide draftsman.
- Ability to analyse engineering problems
