Job Description
- Designing tables and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance
- Improve application's performance
- Develop database schemas, tables, and dictionaries
- Ensure data quality and integrity in databases
- Fix any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures
- Test databases and perform bug fixes
- Develop best practices for database design and development activities
- Attend Load testing meetings and note action items
- Minimum 3 - 7 Years of Strong SQL background
- Analyze, design, and review relational databases
- Optimize queries. Replication, table partitioning, SQL streaming
- Hands-on programming background (in any language)
- This Database Engineer will work most of the time with PHP/javascript developers and he/she needs to understand them
- The Database Engineer will also be writing scripts
- Strong Communication skills
- She/ he always be working with other teams and evangelizing corporate data initiatives
- Good in SQL Writing
- Have Exposure to Performance improvement
- Basically, a SQL Developer role, who can write, review, and improve the SQL performance
- Performance Tuning
- Broad technology background. Any of these are helpful: ETL, Data Warehouse, AWS S3, Papertrail, AWS security, ML, AI, Python, PHP, Javascript
- Database Certification ( Postgres, SQL, Oracle )
- SQL Writing skills
- Have exposure to stability, reliability, and performance
